Grocery Shopping Tours

Do You Know What is Really Hiding In Your Food?

What is sucralose, malitol, enriched wheat flour and nitrates?  Should I choose no fat, no sugar, low carb, or heart healthy?  Canned or Frozen?  What fruits and veggies do more harm than good?  Master the Art of Grocery Shopping as we tour our local grocery store together. You will be enlightened on the reading of food labels as you gain more insight on choosing the most healthy and nutritious foods available. Carbs/Proteins/Fats, Calories...what is the right balance and how to calculate what you should have. You'll also gain a better understanding about how manufacturers of many food products intentionally try to fool us into buying their product, even if it isn't the most nutritious choice.

Tour Testimonies:

"I'm so glad you taught me how to read food labels and those 1st five ingredients.  Stuff I thought was okay to eat really wasn't that great. Very informative and educational.  I have already shared my feelings about the tour with numerous friends and family.  I am now 'addicted' to items you pointed out at the store.  My kids like it also.  I did already change my milk to organic and the kids haven't said a word. Thank you so much for helping me change the way I eat.  I've eaten better these last 2 weeks than I ever have and I do feel much better!"                        - Paige

"The Grocery Shopping Tour was very enlightening and fun.  I had always thought that I was buying healthy products but was obviously unaware of that misconception until Krystal's tour.  The "First 5" ingredients information has been the most useful tool of all.  It just takes a second to scan those ingredients to determine if I am buying what is best for me and my family.  Also, I had always been a little intimidated by "organic" products but not after the tour.  Krys' suggestions and advise on buying organic has helped me make much healthier choices when grocery shopping.  Thanks, Krys, for your caring devotion to helping us become more healthy and happy individuals."     -Rhonda

"Just wanted to tell you how beneficial the grocery shopping tour was for me. It really helped me understand the food labels and took the guess work out of finding healthy foods. I buy many of the products you introduced us too and even have my daughter-in-law buying more nutritional snacks and foods for my grandson.
Thanks as always for helping us to lead more healthe lifestyles. I have already signed up for the next one! "          -Ginger

"The Grocery Tour is a must! The information Krys gave us made me a consumer who has become aware of the food I feed my family.  Being able to read and understand the true meaning of the labels,  will keep one's family healthy."         -Carol

"The most eye-opening thing I learned from the grocery shopping tour was that you have to read labels VERY carefully.  I learned that white flour hides in all kinds of forms, some of which read as though they are whole wheat flour...Then, I was shocked to discover that high fructose corn syrup is in the top 5 ingredients of many breads that actually have whole wheat flour in them... - what a way to ruin something that's actually healthy for you!  Before the grocery shopping tour, I actually thought I knew a lot about reading labels, but I discovered that there was still much I did not know.  Thanks, Krys, for pointing out so many interesting things that I didn't know."         -Allison
